Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday period, a regular meeting will not be scheduled. In lieu of the meeting, you may want attend the 5th Annual Augusta Technical College "United Way" Cruise In Car & Truck Show at West Town Shopping Center (KMART), Washington Rd, on 23 November 2002.

The October meeting, combination club BBQ and club elections, was held at Bobby & Diane Peterson's house.   We had a great turnout, and Diane and Bobby were gracious hosts.   The food provided by the club members was outstanding, and quite a bit…..too, *S*.   We would like the thank Diane and Bobby for hosting this annual event this year.   We also had the opportunity to meet our newest members, Wayne & Martha Jo Baker, and Bruce & Georgina Bryant.   A special thanks to Lynda Keevil, Leslie Romano, Diane & Bobby Peterson for all the time they spent to organize this successful event.

Our club elections followed the normal pattern of no members wanting to hold an office within the club.   Russell Blandin agreed to become the Club Governor for the next year.   Thanks, Russell.   Jeff Keevil elected to remain Club Treasurer for another year.   Thanks to Tom and Leslie for all the planning and time that they have spent over the past year(s) in support of the club.

The office of Club Vice President was not filled at this meeting, and will be filled at the Club Christmas Party, which brings up a point.   As most of you know, the club officer's positions have been filled by the same member's year in and year out, which the club has increased or maintained it's current membership levels. Jeff, Tom, and I, have been club officer's for so long, that I was considering calling the club "The Ron, Jeff, & Tom Show".

There are many of you who are qualified to be club Vice President.   The club Vice President is responsible for planning the monthly meetings (locations and times), and IAW with the Club By-Laws, we must have a Vice President.   Also, keep in mind that club officer's are exempt from paying club dues, during their terms in office.

If there is not a club Vice President, elected at the December meeting, than there will be no future meetings planned from that point forward.   I have assisted Leslie over the past year in planning some of the meetings, which I don't mind doing, but, I WILL NOT be responsible solely for planning the meetings, in addition to being Club President, which in itself, includes several additional duties (i.e. - keeping the club incorporation up to date).

Let's work together to get this club position filled!

Your 2003 membership dues are due.   The dues are $50.   If you are a club officer, you do not own any dues.   Please mail your checks to Jeff Keevil.

Club shirts and hats are available in various sizes and colors.   Contact Ron Sanders for availability.

The Christmas party has been planned to take place on December 21, 2002 at the Spring Lake's clubhouse on Columbia Rd. in Martinez.   Additional information will be provided in the December newsletter.

Please visit the discussion forum on our club web site.   Show your club spirit by participating in discussions or starting your own new discussions.   As the season is ending, what better way to help keep the enthusiasm alive.   It only takes few minutes of time each day and the payback will be tremendous.
