Paul Caron Mako Shark

68 corvette used for Maco conversion, purchased from body shop with incomplete Maco by Silva kit. Receipt states what is missing. Commonwealth Autobody Chelsea, Mass originally purchased the Maco Kit from John Silva and the 68 corvette from a customer, as shown when I drove it to my home. They had the kit and car untouched for maybe up to a year when I purchased both from them. It probably took me another year to get the missing pieces from John Silva. It took countless phone calls and visits to his shop in Cambridge to get the paid for missing pieces. In that year I got to know John and his partner Dennis Rota.

Pictures of finished Maco,74 GM color, custom Interior,Chrome Kustom Sidemount Headers, electric solonoids for doors, lowered suspension to look right, fabricated my own hardware only purchasing Cibie headlights from John.

I participated in a series of car shows at that time. Joe Kisis (spelling?) ran a series of 3 shows every year, 10'th Autorama, in Boston MA 1975, 25'th Autorama, Hartford CT 1974, and Downeast Autorama, Portland ME 1974 (Info from trophys). My Maco was shown with Nahant Beach Corvette Club Display. John Silva and Dennis Rota also participated as members of the club.
