"corvette summer"

Lets talk about the corvette that played a huge part in my obsession in customs the Corvette summer movie car, I have heard all kinds of stories thru the years and they are just that stories, I am hunting magazine stories or ads or pictures...... I have been told there was only the one I have been told there were 3, I have been told Korky who made the car did sell body kits and or parts, I have never in all my magazines or shows seen a single part.....or clone car The most plausible "story" I have heard is the car is a one off, the only one is the one in the movie now owned by mid-America I've read the net story the speed channel had up, it didn't tell much. When it's gold in the movie that's simply the base coat for the candy red flake it ended up being, they film out of sequence.... So....anyone have any magazine stories, ads or car show pictures that point to others? I have seen Vanacors "corvette summer" hood, it's doesn't look much like it.....I believe myself Korky used an Ecklers tilt front end with recessed lights, cut the buckets that make it look more pointed,....if not Ecklers tilt then a stock front end.... then the scoop the center part was sold even by JC Whitney years back and called an "Indy wing or wedge scoop" Korky added the ducts to that and the scoop is not molded into the hood....T.

Motion, I mean no disrespect but like I said in my first post I have heard all kinds of stories since the movie came out, like I asked in the first post I need pictures or magazine ads, I'm not saying I don't believe you I simple have to see proof, Like Randy behind the wheel.... For example a person I know who is in the Vette business for the last 30+ years told me of a Mako front clip he was 100% sure, I saw the clip it was a remodeled GT-40 front clip to fit a c3, I'm not saying a mistake is the case here I simply posted this thread in hopes of dismissing rumors not starting new ones, The red metal flake car in other of my replies in this thread is sometimes called the CSC even by vette-files Again no offense meant but for me I need to see it... I admire Doctor Karl Segan, who said, "Extraordinary claims require Extraordinary proof" a picture could be shown that would not disclose any whereabouts on the car itself....Harry did that with a mako he has interest in.... The other thing is I'm talking about a true CSC built by Korky not a copy which I could easily do with an Ecklers tilt front end,,,,Cheers, T.

From that link: "Corvette Summer"-Either of the two existing right-hand-drive 73 Corvette Stingrays custom built by Richard Korkes at Korky's Custom Studios in Van Nuys, California for the Mark Hamill and Annie Potts film "Corvette Summer". One of these cars is reported to be in the Los Angeles area of California. The other car was sold to the Corvette Americana Museum in Cooperstown, New York. This museum went out of business in late 1997 and the cars have subsequently disappeared. Mid America Designs (MAD) has the Cooperstown one. David
