Nice car.Well done reproduction. They seem to want you to believe it is the actual movie car.
I agree, It has left hand drive, wrong tops, wrong rear end, and the list goes on. Notice in the real movie, when the car rolls out of the garage for the 1st time, it has moonroofs on it. The one that mid america has, is sporting factory glass tops, or at least it was when I saw it last.
Here is a shot of the car with the correct tops. FWIW, there is another forum that is trashing the hell out of the car, and the movie. Thats why we are a "kinder, gentler, more understanding," bunch of Corvette Customizing Sympathisers "Randy" Attachments

Please permit me to add some information about this car being offered for sale on eBay. 1. I have talked to the seller many times on the phone. In fact, I talked with the previous owner a couple years ago, who was the guy that built it. He sent me a stack of photos of the making of this car. This car has absolutely nothing to do with the actual movie, and is not even a remotely close resemblence to the 2 actual movie cars. There was never 3 cars. This car was never used for any promotional purposes. It was built only 2 years ago. In fact, he stole my photo that says "Do Not Copy" in which I am selling an authentic CS photo on eBay right now. Compare the two cars and you will see that there is very little about them that is similar. 2. I am the guy that was offering the very accurate fiberglass body kits for sale. Nobody else has ever created a screen-accurate CS replica prior to my doing so. My research included a worldwide search for authentic items such as the molds, so that I could create the closest replica possible. I talked many time with Rick Korkes Jr., and the original front clip mold is long gone. I did find the hood scoop mold in Australia and had it shipped to me. It was created shortly after the 1983 accident to facilitate a rebuilding of the car. All other molds that were created were destroyed, per owner's request. The hood scoop mold was given to a neighbor, and the neighbor had moved away long ago, thus escaping it being destroyed. I tracked this guy down, called him up, negoiated a deal to purchase it, and had it shipped to me from Australia. Each of the scoops are all slightly different, and it would have been nearly impossible to accurately create this section without having the molds. 3. I have sold 5 body kits, and am working with a 6th person now. These are for sale on an extremely limited basis, and the guys who are building cars are definitely hard-core CS fans similar to myself. The pic shows the front clip, just as it's pulled from my mold. Note the detachable lower spoiler, which I did on purpose because they broke the spoiler off so many times during filming. Attachments

The guy who built the car is Mark and he is from Ohio. He sold it to Mario in Colorado. While it was on the transport truck going through Chicago, a nasty windstorm tore the front clip off. The truck driver was able to pick up most of the pieces. Mario setteled an insurance claim, and did the repair work himself. I converted my car to RHD using a right-side-mounted steering box, modifying the pitman arm, etc. Pedal assembly, booster, brake lines, throttle, heater system, and ducts all had to be mirror-imaged to the opposite side of the car. For anyone wishing to buy the dvd of CS, I suggest you buy the authentic MGM release. There is a Chinese bootleg dvd that was on eBay for about 2 years prior to the MGM release, but the authentic MGM version is much better quality.

Craig, I appreciate the kind words. Thank you. I have a few photos along the way, but not many. I acquired both corvettesummer.com and corvettesummer.net domain names, and my plan is to create an interesting web site when my car is completed. It will have some pics showing the process, but not a lot. I hope to show more of the rare or never-seen-before content that I have acquired along the way. Here's a pic that shows the mounted steering box. Notice that it's a power steering box, and the old power-assist steering is long gone. The square pipe and bolt is there just to support the tranny.
