"Engine numbers"
Feb-07-09, 06:26 PM (EDT) |
I found this number on the back right of the intake manifold. 8818808 GM 4 I believe this block to be a 327. Maybe this number will help me put this guessing game to rest. If there is another number I need to provide, then let me know and I will go check it out and report it. Thanks for any help. McBrain

LAST EDITED ON Feb-08-09 AT 08:57 PM (EDT) There is alot of muck hiding it but I was able to clean it off a little and this is what I got. 3914678 Not to sure about the first two digits though.Hope it helps. This is a 68 and like I said before, the previous owner tried to sell me a 427 so I'm not entirely sure this is the factory engine even if it turns out to be a 68 block. McBrain
