started with resto on headlight buckets repaint and fabricated brackets some were broken and missing completed pulled grill restoring today this nose is very thin some small cracks on lower chin probably from opening the nose will be complete today

grill came apart hard said martin marietta all over it cleaned up nicely lower chin had repairs that pulled off without tools no one did any grinding so it never stuck was an easy repair center brace was wasted fabbed one out of ss will have photo clear on nose was really bad wet sanded and buffed w/ulltra cut shines now

had to fab front brace old one was pitiful ,wet sand and buff does anyone know what this damper is ? i have dozens of hi-perf dampers but i have never seen this fin arangement old LT1 ?

I admire your motivation; your car is coming together quickly.

I just now realized yours doesn't have the front end cut-outs like the traditional Silva Maco or Motion version, and doesn't have the original-style kick-up's like a Bohannon.

I think Motion had a name for that front end, and I don't think they called it Mako? Same fender peaks as a Mako, same cake pan hood bulge, but no GT40-like hood depressions. I may be wrong; just seems like by '73 or so they were messing around with this "version." Or, maybe someone pulled a mold?

I have never seen a balancer like that either, but I'm not one to notice those small differences on functional parts. Could indeed be something very specific.

that's the same nose as used on The Moray GT, no indentations, personally I prefer this look. The is the fist time I noticed your car is a roadster, can wse see the rear of the car? I'd like to see how it was done....

i am really starting to like this thing. drove it sat,not mental like the 57, but more like a warmed over LT1will do front frame section brakes and suspension next. i will do before and after when we do gelwork on tops of doors and rear deck .I'd like to know more about this car. I like it when this site responds.seems like good people thanks mike "just because I'm nice doesn't mean I'm weak"
