Here are the pic's of my '69 Mako I was told by the original owner, Reggie Fountain of Fountain Power Boats (North Carolina), that he bought this car new. Reggie sent it to Motion for the body. He said he wanted to be able to go to Florida, without stopping. So they built him a 40 gallon fuel cell, that's why the gas filler is in the center. And he wanted it streamline to cut the wind, so take the mirrors off.

Fountain Power Boats is in North Carolina. Motion did the engine, I was told. It has Motion Valve Covers on it, with the emblems. I will send some pic's of under the car, under the hood, and the engine soon.....

These are the bumpers, they are the Mako Front and rear bumpers.

This is only the second car I have ever seen with that "Motion" gear reduction unit, it gave 30% and could be shifted on the fly so you could live with a 4:11 on the highway.

The wiper cover I was told that Fountain sent one that he made to Motion. He wanted the wiper grill and that area covered. And Motion wanted to make them. You know how a story can get started. I have not ask Reggie about that!!!

Here is some pic's of my cars hood hinges it has a steel brace holding the hinge on. And is not a truck hinge. I saw on the Forum that a truck hinge was used, on some. I also sent the latch area, I thought someone on the forum said they needed pic's of that.

So I looked on a hood that I bought on ebay 3 or 4 years ago, and it looks like it has a truck hinge on it. Here is the pic's, We painted the truck hinged hood orange and have it in our showroom at Corvette Only in Greenville SC.
