Hi, I just purchased this 68 a few days ago. This website has been very helpful in understanding some of the history of these Maco (Mako?) Shark II's. There certainly appears to be quite a bit of variation between cars. I'm guessing that was the result of both styling changes made by the original manufacturer as well as modifications made later on. Whatever the reason it makes for an interesting class of cars. As for my recent purchase, it's a 1968 with a 1971 365 H.P. 454, 4 speed and 4:56 posi. It's had a lot done to the mechanics and interior, but the exterior needs some real help, both in the form of cracks in the fiberglass and paint. I believe I've looked at all of the photos in the site, but none of them have a hood that looks quite like this one. The rear quarters panels are also a little different. I'm looking forward to finding out more about the car and some restoration tips as well.

Thanks, Bob bjarvis
