LOL, never thought of it that way.
Yeah, I like girls to but always wonder
what it would look like without the girl
and the reflections. Yeah she is pretty

The partent, yeah I know, I just couldn't
stand not seeing the exhaust, and you
couldn't just add the exhaust without
showing what it wraped around. It looked
funny so I had to add the leaf.

I want to do another one with the Side
pipes. :9

I see the exhaust as part of the body
design and should have been added to the
patent. :7

Shawkrider,

Thanks for the photo of rear exhaust exit, this just what I need for my shark. Cool :)

Some A$$ hole on eBay ruined a perfect picture by
adding some crap onto it. I did what I could to
restore it, but tattle tale marks remain.

It is always my pleasure to share photos, even
though some times I need to doctor them up.

Please enjoy this, I put work into it.

Shawkrider, I was looking back a bit here+ saw your sketch of the shark- Nice work. It came out great. If you ever decide to part with your car, let me know- I'll take good care of her. I have a 6 car garage that she can be comfortable + pampered in. I miss mine.. As for your pedal, that is nothing to do with the Maco. The Maco stuff is only body related. The pedals and they're location is facory. As for the big feet thing... I have a size 14, so what does that mean....haha. And I have big hands. ha. Actually, I am 6'6" so fitting in a vette is fun to start with. But hey- it's a vette. That why they put T-tops on them... More headroom.. I still have more reading to do ,so there will be more followups, I'm sure..

Hey- can't blame me for tryin'. I thought you would get a kick out of that. I did read that you want to be buried in her. I guess that is dedication. Randy must be the King- 3 of them ...Some guys have all the luck. Now for another trick- for your pedal issue- I did this on one of my biggest show trucks. You have to look at it from a different angle- What you can do , is under the carpet, you can cut plywood and use it to raise the floor. That allows you to bring your foot up to the pedals, and no-one can really tell if you do it right. The carpet if flexible enough to work over it. You can also choose this option in 1/4" intervals to see what work best. If done right, your floor can still be straight. I raised the floor in my Suburban 1/2" to hide tons of cables for a competion sound system- no-one ever questioned it. It looked factory. Let me know what you think of this idea. Class dismissed......

I like your idea, It's sounds like it might work,
I'll take a look and get back to ya on it.

I've had my Dixie for 5 years now and just now got
her running decently. It's really funny your timing
on the issue.

Yeah, I've always loved Stingray Corvette's and
always knew I'd get one, just wanted a special one
that wasn't common like the others. Well I finaly
found her and got her home and now, and your not the
first, people are always hitting me up to sell her
to them.

I have a friend that every time I see him, he tells
me "So when you going to sell that Maco to me"?
Like clockwork, like one of the first sentences out
of his mouth when ever we meet.

I had a mail man get out of his mail truck, walk into
my garage and gawked at it for a while before I walked
out to find some strang dude standing on my property
in my garage. It kind of pissed me off but, at the same
time it seemed nice.

Ever since then I posted a no trespassing sign with
one of my rang tagets next to it all shot to Shight.
I haven't had to worry about leaving my garage door
open during the day ever since. :+

Enjoy!

Thats pretty funny- whatever works right. My dream was about the same when I was younger, then the chance came of for the shark in the late 80's. I had a choice of the shark of a built, custom early 60's vette convertible. The shark was rarer, so I took that one. It's a very long story of why I got rid of it, now I am regretting it. I didn't know John had heart trouble while we were working on my project. Part of my contract was another shark, so I figured- hey- how can I loose- I'll have him pour me another one later. Who knew... I lost. People always came up to me when I had the car. It was fun. Another way to do the floor, is (if there are too many contours) is use expandable spray foam (insulation). Sparay it on the bare floor, then the next day, after it has expanded and dried, shape it with 36 grit sandpaper, or a grinder. That way ,you can shape it however you want. Cool idea huh ?? My Suburban was undefeated in northeastern US and 5th in the world for the sound system I did in it. It took me a year to build that one. I averaged 137 decibles with 2 12" subs and a 60watt amp. Think about that for a second... (there was alot more to the system than that though).

Shoot me your email address and I can send you pics and the scoop. It is complete, less interior, car needs to be totally redone, but it is a unique shark. the short tailed version. Again, price is relative, with new kits being 6 grand, this car would be a steal, I really dont know why I bought it, as most of my stuff is apart. Just a thought, but I would let it go if someone was serious.;)

Let me expand on that last post. I hate it when people take a hobby and ruin it. There have been so many people that come on here and are totally wowed and want a shark to keep forever, next thing you know, they have sold it for a big profit and you never hear from them again. Thats one reason I waffle so bad on selling a shark. Thats one reason I dont advertise a shark for sale. I will probably talk myself into keeping it, although it would probably be in my best interest to lessen the fleet and concentrate on just one car. It aint easy bein' me.

I believe if Car Guy keeps his eyes open, He'll find one

Just a thought. Not trying to burn ya Scott.

Lets just say for example, my Maco, in her current
condition would be worth say 7-8k, even if somebody
offered me 25k or lets get redickulas with it 40k!

I still wouldn't sell her! :D

Thats the kind of love I have for mine. Unconditional...

2Shark, I would love to see what you have. As you can tell (hopefully) I am a huge car enthusiast ( hence- Car Guy). If you sell the car to me, at least you know it would go to the proper place. As I have said a couple times, John Silva was a friend of mine, so I have a different outlook on the whole thing. I never intended to get rid of my car totally, as he was supposed to give me another one, until he died. I would have built the car to original specs- i.e. paint scheme. Now that I have a better background in painting, I think I can match it. . please show me what you have- like I said, I dont have too much to spend, as I have 3 cars and a camper now.( My wife will never understand the mans need for the ultimate ride.) My e-mail address is- scottmak@comcast.net. Thanks

Again, I'm waffling. I sent you an email, and you can see my other cars on the owners forum area. They are not for sale.
Also, I am going to switch and start a new thread in this area about that particular car so we can keep everything in order. Its the red shark.

Waffle on big boy, LOL
This isn't IHOP...

Personaly I like the Big Country
Breakfast substituting the pancakes
for an extra order of hashbrowns.

You know, ebay from time to time
has Maco's up for sell Scott. You
may want to check their as well?

Or finding a cheap 68,69 through
pre 75 C3 in your local paper
and purchasing a Bohannon which is
a new body. No mistakes covered up
in bondo or resin. At lest that way
you'd know where the car came from
and knew that you made her yourself.

Just another idea... :P
