Build it the way you want it and drive it like you Stole it
Hey Wayne, Great post I like this car I would like to know more history about the car and see more detailed pictures. When I was talking to you the other day you mentioned about early motion bodys having plates in the front under the hood blocking the tire debris from the headlighls and this moray has those panels I see in the pictures. I also wondered if the inner fenders have a fold over at the front of them so when you close the hood they kind of meet. Just curios of this design or if you have seen this? Thanks ART

Thanks for the post Wayne. I'm sure the owner has more than $175K in it...
Last words in fatal accidents for 49 of 50 states are "Oh Sh*t!" Final words in Wisconsin are "Hold my beer, I'm gonna try somethin'..."
I have no idea what he has in it, i think he paid RonB $100k for it about 11/2 years ago. Wayne

300k with an hour to go and reserve not met. That's strong money today. I don't know how much more you could squeeze out of it in this market (I'm sure its down a bunch from what it could have sold for 2 years ago) I was out on the opening bid (but I do have that nose ;) /:\

And I love that nose, just need to find a BB 73-74 vette thats been whacked in the front with rear flared fenders and I will buy that damn thing from you. I can picture the car built.
Dude, send me an email at ronbajorek@hotmail.com . we have some unfinished business.

In my research on my Blue Mako, which has the same nose as the Moray. I found out that the noses without the dips were made by John Reidel of Custom Enterprises in Lindenhurst,NY not made by Motion. He took one of John Silvas noses modified it and made the mold for these noses. Wayne

The guy ,Allen Sherry who built my blue Mako and also owned the Corvette Americana Museum was the one who told me. He also included a pic of the mold being made, John Reidel was a friend of his and also belonged to a corvette club called Glass Society on Long Island ,NY.

Not the nose you're thinking of Ron. I have one of these as well...

Basicly, I have the makings for all three Motion Vettes (a Phase III, Maco, and Spyder) Can I get 'em built before I die? Or before the Gov'ment takes away our hot rods and guns (or at least the ammo)?

Man, you got some "stuff". Interesting about this nose, per Rosen he got stuff from different suppliers. I personally like this nose without the indentations better, it reminds me of the frontend on the car that Daryll Starbird built out of the Masarati Birdcage, much cleaner without the indentations. I like both frontends, but I like this one better, although I prefer chrome bumpers front and back.
