Hey all. I am new to the forum and wanted to introduce myself. I have been building custom vettes since I was 16 and currently own 2 widebodies (one finished and one in progress) and a custom C5 vert. It is great to find a place I can talk widebodies with! Looking forward to chatting!

Welcome. There are several guys here with widebody cars, and they know a lot about them.
Post some pics and tell us about them!

Here is my 79 widebody. Custom paint, dash and console. The engine compartment houses an L98 from a 1990 vette with 30K miles. She runs smooth and is alot of fun.

Welcome Aboard!!! Great looking car!!! Did you have this car at Mid-America FunFest last year?
Last words in fatal accidents for 49 of 50 states are "Oh Sh*t!" Final words in Wisconsin are "Hold my beer, I'm gonna try somethin'..."

Basically I used turbo tubes with the duals extending in front of both back tires. The sound is great. Sounds really beefy.

Here is the 77 I am working on. The interior is almost put back together since this photo. The motor is almost completed (383 stroker w/apr 475 hp). I have the suspension I am ready to put on as well.

Nice start on your '77 Craig!!!
Well, you guys have let me coast for nearly 4 years and it took the new guy to put the pressure on. I'm gonna hunt my body guy down like the dog he is and get the vert on the road.
Will soon have a couple of '69s in the garage at the same time, but one will be in my garage. It will be interesting to see which one gets done first...gotta focus!!!

Craig...tell us more about your cars.
Well, the '79 came out of northern Cali. Wasn't running and had been in storage for 11 years. The interior was unfinished, the car needed paint and the motor needed alot of work. Well, one year later she is as you see her. Basically gave her to my wife. I had a custom 91 and she felt "left out" so now its hers. I felt left out with the widebody so I got me one :).
The 77 came out of NJ. Interior was toast as is suspension and motor. I will keep you guys informed on her progress. I have decided to get rid of the maroon for an aluminum metallic and commemorative blue colors. Interior is black and aluminum.
My 2000 is a vert with custom interior, wheels and tighershark kit. TV/DVD/Nav system with major "bump". Lowered 2" with B&B exhaust. Custom engine bay as well. Here is a couple picts of her (tho not a widebody.....yet ;) .
