To date I have about 2 grand in this project. Will have another $800-900 in hood repairs. Hope to get some money from the water pump company (read good luck)...this rope will push hard uphill...x(

The car is in the body shop for the towing repairs to be done.
The claim against the water pump company is about 60 days old...was told that it will probably take 70-80 days before I hear anything.

Well, there you have it...
More to come...:+

Marv-Love the plate (it's sooooo original). Does this mean that the "other" Can Am vert will be on eBay soon? ....Or will you be keeping her for parts? And whats the deal with the dark spot on the pass. side front fender? And, AND, whats the deal with you and revolving parts? (halfshaft on 'ol blue and now this)

Yah, I told Rick that I would do the plate for him...now he has gone and got hisself a short tail...he probably won't ever drive the widebody anywhere again so that we can sit the cars together...
Maybe you should get one for New Joisy!!! Then we could be the 3 amigos...:D

Several people have suggested that I clean my garage out now that I have too many to fit...but it's tough being me...I plan to store the "other" vert for now. Too much money in it and not far enough along to let it go. However...time will tell.

Keith...give me more...what dark spot???

"And, AND, whats the deal with you and revolving parts? (halfshaft on 'ol blue and now this)?" Dunno...I guess that I'm just blessed. :+ It's been an expensive year...

On the two photos of the car 3/4 front there appears to be a dark spot on the upper fender behind the front wheelwell. I wouldn't have mentioned it otherwise, but it was on both pix. Camera trick? Aged eyes? Dymentsia?

Keith, I see it now that you have pointed it out, but I think it is just the camera angle and the angles of the body, as there isn't anything wrong that I recall seeing on the car. It must be that sneaky Porsche paint acting like a chameleon now that Randy has picked on it...:D

Alright...just to explain...:+
I have a 2-car garage with 3 cars inside and absolutely no room to work on any of them inside because of all the parts I've collected in the past year.

The plan is to store the '73 & '75 for the winter and clean the garage, so that I can get to the 4-post lift, find my tools, and start work on something.

In the meantime, the '73 is being stored by the body shop for a combination of insurance work and work that I will pay for. The ins work will consist of the front bumper and center grill replacement for about $2,500 to replace, blend back, paint and pinstripe. Another $1,000 for repairing the hood, fenders, blending, painting, and pinstriping that I will pay for.

so, a few update pictures shot at the body shop...
These 2 are of the hood before and what they have done to date...
