Here are a few more photos of the car. I race this car occasionally at New England Dragway in Epping N.H. Engine was built by me but purchased from Bill MItchell Hardcore Racing. I bought it as a dissassembled version and did some of my own mods myself. It is a Small Block Motown 427 Drag Race engine with Motown Aluminum 220 heads. Changed the Doug Nash Five Speed over to a Lenco 5 Speed. Rear end is Four Link with Coil overs with Strange Nodular Carrier. All of this work has been done in my garage/shop. Just before winter 06 I completed the Anodized Aluminim Interior.

The first run was 11.01 leaving the line at 1600 RPM. It was the first time I raced the car with a sintered iron clutch using the Doug Nash Five Speed. I wasn't sure what was going to happen so I babied it out of the hole. The shot of the launch explained what happened. Wheels off the ground but cmae down soft and went straiaght. Second pass after this initial feeler I obliterated the drive shaft. Thats when I knew I had to change out the transmission to a Lenco and get a super duty drive shaft and solid U Joints. So from that wheel stand to the second run it was back on the trailer home and thats when the floor chopping started. Got the Lenco and then fabricated the aluminum floor around it. Also added the Wheelie Bars so I can mash it. The Bill Mitchell 427C is rated at 685 FT/Lbs and 680 HP with one carb. I did some other valve train work and intake modifications which should bring those numbers up. Soon it will be on the Dyno and then to the track. Should run in the low 10's if maybe mid 9's. Thats what I am shooting for. I do take it on the street once in a while but it only runs on racing fuel so it's not a pump gas car. But I still bring it to rod meets and the such.
