Given all the work thats needed 30k is ALL the money IF it IS a Motion car. Motion wheels and tires??? I can't recall a single Maco with Ansen Sprints. Did Dunlop make GT Qualifiers in 1970? They never came from Sunrise Ave. with those. No LeMans gas lid, or Firebird tail lights, no Dondi custom interior, STOCK engine bay. The body might have been bought from Joel (or John Silva) but it was built in a Bronx body shop. Another dreamer. Thanks for posting Rick.
Thanks for letting us know Rick.
Seems to me a "little bit overprised" for the condition the car is into.
Just a bit.
How can somebody say it's a Motion when not having it documented.
Wants minimum 30K but don't want to spend 2,5K for a documentation !?!
Which is from my point of view anyway doubtful while i don't believe somebody can identify from memory about 100 cars if his people built it or just sold a kit.
Or if the kit is even from another manufacturer.
My 2 cents to this Motion-hipe.
How the hell can somebody ask 30K for a car in that bad condition.
But if he is lucky tommorow a few jerks will wake up.
I will bid too;
THAT THIS WILL BE A NO SELLER.;-)
Could be a motion kit. Marvs car had that type of window.
Who cares who built it... Motion Hype is just that. Notice how rusty the turn signal lever is..... the car needs total restoration.
Overpriced if you ask me... but thats just my .02

Have you seen the picture which shows the birdcage ?
The one with the gauge-bezel in front and in the back you see the removed kickpanel and rusty birdcage !!
And only a little bit missrepresented in the advertising text:
"THE NEW OWNER WILL WANT TO WET SAND AND POLISH THE PAINT. FROM WHAT I CAN TELL THIS CAR IS ONLY MISSING A FEW ITEMS TO BE COMPLETED"
and yeah after that just put it on the street.:7
This car is also on Craigslist but he gives a different reason for having to sell. NO REASONABLE OFFER REFUSED
As predicted, not a single bid for 30K.
Now it's relisted with a much lower price.
3days left and the bid is at 4173 $.
The Mako went for 9200$ after 17 bids.
Actually, it didn't go anywhere. Failed to meet reserve.

Yeah sorry, overseen that.
It's BAAaaack http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270795813213&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT
$7500 cheaper, but still a ways to go.

Randy do you or any of the other guys know what the rear glass came from? The guy says in the ad that he has had a new window installed.

I cant remember, but I do know that some of the early motion cars did not have the louvered rear window. Also remember that some Silva cars had a removable louver... that is what marvs car was going to have... he has the louver section.
Atillas car has that option.

He's lowered his opening bid (again) but has he lowered his reserve?

Fantastic high prices and economic problems is not a combination which fits too well.
Will be interesting if it's put up again and with what starting price this time.
Greetings
