Spreading her wings, ready to take flight !

Did you buy Randy's shorttail or is this one exactly like it?It's kind of a shock to see the lambo doors on this car.Should make a wild custom ride when complete.Keep up the good work.
I love those wheels!
You will be the first on your block to have a shark with that door treatment!

Wow- looks like you've done alot of work on it. Definately a different look with the doors. Look out Andy- competition. It will look pretty wild when done. Although- a little creative criticizm here- that thing sits like a 4X4. Are you planning to drop it a little?? It is pretty high.

dreamer, yes.......... I got this short-tail from Randy last april, and finally got going on it !
car guy, what do you mean "sits too high !" I'm insulted.......... I thought it was just a tad low.......LOL. Actually, Randy gave me the extended bolts for the rear when I bought the car from him --- and I installed them !!! Standard bolts are 6" and I installed the 8" ones from Randy, right now I'm waiting on the 10" bolts from Vette Brakes and Products so I should be able to bring the rear down another 2". I think that will do it. As for the front, Randy said he was planning on cutting a coil and a half from each of the front springs........ I figure I'll cut 1 coil first and see how she sits, and then go more if it needs it! The way it looks now, I feel I could install mud bog tires and go 4 wheelin'!!!
Thanx for the support guys............ I'm trying to focus !

If you want to lower the rear, quit with the long bolts and get you a 427 F41 7 leaf rear spring. that will bring the car down and make it handle better too. there is a guy on ebay that sells them repo for about $125.

Lookin' great Rick!!! I'm being a lot less focused than you are, but sure am happy you are coming along good on your project. The doors make a big difference in the way the car looks and will be a highlight feature. Keep up the great work and thanks for the pictures!!
Last words in fatal accidents for 49 of 50 states are "Oh Sh*t!" Final words in Wisconsin are "Hold my beer, I'm gonna try somethin'..."
