Started with the color........................

I figured I'd spray the insides of the doors to start, and then decided I'd better go ahead and put all three colors on! That way I don't have to mess with the inside again. Got a couple of runs in the clear coat.............. but nothing a little sanding won't take out.

I wasn't real impressed with the base coat of silver metallic, but when I got the metallic blue on.......... with the gray under the bottom...........its pretty much perfect ! A brighter silver would have been too much !!!

I'll get the front done next........... I'm definitely tired of sanding......... but thankfully most of that is done now !

It's getting closer.....................

Once its cured, then sanding.........

then the blue........

got the doors done today.......... decided to go ahead and get all 3 colors on them with some clear. I can even out things after I get the car together...........I plan on coating the car with pearl, but the blue is so pretty............ I'll make that decision later ! I've got a close up of the t-top showing just how great this metallic blue is !!!

I love this car, the wheels, taillights, reverse gills, flares into the doors, short ass end. If I had done this car i would have gotten rid of the slitted turn signals (which now looking at this car would have been a HUGE mistake). I'm absolutely changing my rear tail lights to this style, can anybody pull a mold for me?

Boy, its pretty exciting to see somebody just hit the nail right on the head when they do a project. This car is just great. Right on dude, your car rocks!

You are setting the bar for guys like me who have been chirping,
but the 4-post stacker will be finished in a couple of weeks,
then I'll drag my widebody home...maybe get some work done
over the winter.

I'll be off the net for a week to visit an "old" friend,
(emphasis on "old"), so hopefully you can get a lot done
while I'm away...that is, when you're not living the easy
life in a YURT!!!

I agree with Marv, the project is a killer.
Maybe it should be a Killer Shark instead of a Maco.
I have been very busy too, trying to get some stuff moved around.
It is amazing what you collect over the years.
Maybe time for "Randy's Garage Sale"

Rick this looks great indeed. Love the color.... Been finally building a garage.. I've never had one and spent the last 2 months getting it done. I'm about 99% completed. 2 car and the doors are hung.. Putting in electricity now.... but, hell i saved about $4,000.00 doing it myself..:)))
