Can you say ........ ZOOM......... ZOOM !!!

I'm hoping this weekend I can reattach the front for a photo-op, but tonight I got some of the rear while she idled in the driveway !!! Got her purring like a kitten since I got the stainless steel roller rockers installed and everything readjusted .

Got the power steering all hooked up and functioning. The brakes aren't the best................. but I'm working on that. Maybe I'll get Randy to help me on them............ you know he's the ultimate expert with C3 power brakes now !

On second thought..................... maybe I won't ask for his help. Ya know he said something about driving his wagon off a cliff to remedy the faulty brake situation !!! I'm definitely not gonna go that route !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I like the rear shock setup looks interesting. Inquiring minds want to know more. This mako should be a Real show stopper !! Keith is right on this one......... the problem is I've got so much to do with the rear glass and interior, I don't plan on installing the doors for months.................... but I'm really hyped right now and I'd like to see the entire car together !!!

Thanx for the compliments guys..................... I'm happy its coming together ! Marv, I got the shields on ebay a couple of years ago. Got them raw and had them coated when I got the sidepipes done.

Got my extra gauges in today - plan on hooking them up this weekend. I found a right hand pillar gauge pod and decided to add a vacuum gauge and volt meter over in the passengers side. I'm not sure whether the amp meter works or not............. but I like the volt meter better ! Rick

Forgot to show the pix where of how the hood lines up. Being as the hood was off the car for over a year, I was worried things might have shifted some.................... but its right on the money !!!

The only problem I encountered was I couldn't raise the hood after releasing the hood latches................. come to find out I just need someone on the opposite side to lift at the same time. I installed the black rubber matting on the underside at the back and it grips the rear edges pretty tight ! When one person lifts up, it pinches the sides and grips so tight it won't lift up. When its lifted from both sides...................it raises with no problem !!!

Rick, what are you using to color match the dash components, the dash pad, map pockets, console, etc???

What company sells the pillar gauges? I like using a volt meter vs an amp gauge because I had an amp gauge fail in one of my old cars. Back then (60's) we installed them in line with the battery...when it quit everything else quit...have never used one since.

Marv.................. tried to reply earlier, but I've been locked out ! Computer screwed up and I haven't been able to access any of my favs...........

As for the interior color, I'm using a medium gray dye I got from Pep Boys. Then coating it with the satin clear I got from Mid Am.......... The right hand gauge pod I got off ebay......... pretty much like everything else. You do know this is a mail order vette !!!

I finally got the proper control cover from David @ Hot Rod Air and installed it last night............... what a difference with a finished look.

Gotta get going with the adjustment of the overdrive tranny TV cable. Reading the adjustment instructions last night, I'm hoping the forward and reverse driving in and out of the garage hasn't done any damage. They say if the TV cable isn't adjusted correctly --- you can burn the transmission up completely the first time you take it out on the street !!! I definitely don't want that to happen !
