I will be by the car this weekend, I really appreciate your assistance, I'll let you know what I find.

I would try to post photos of this car again but I am a certified "Computer Moron".

I got it from a friend in NY it had a Jersey title.

motor in my car is 1019xaa, looks like an over the counter ls-6 with 427/435 heads, l-88 intake and water pump, mystery solved, thanks for everybodys help.

Here is what my limited experience in playing with these cars has taught me so far.

on back of block is 14015445 and then "over the hump" where the clutch shield bolts in is a G 2 P * GPD. Do not have a chance to pull valve covers or get under car, car is on it's way to get new calipers ( I think) brakes are very spongy. OH BOY is it fun though, lots of power on tap. there is a reason why people want these big block cars, they're fun.

If you really want fun with a BB add Tri power , makes a world of difference over a 4 bbl.

Will do, car is at my buddys shop for brake work, I'll look for the casting date when it's up in the air. I'll also get the info on the heads. As for the tri power, what have you?

I have a hone overdrive that I kinda had slotted for a Motion GT that I have a lead on, but damn, it would be fantastic in this car. Also need a heavy duty rear cover with the spring perches, as one of my perches is cracked off (that's probabley real bad), also need cable set for hood release, need to get wiper door functional, etc, etc.

This car has me giggleing like a school girl. When I hammer it, the rear end doesn't hop, it tracks fairly straight with the traction bar set up (probabley will be dead on with the new rear cover) and the front end communicates better than any other c-3 I've had. Neat car.

Anybody want to give me the run down for posting photos again?

nice looking rear end, It sure won't work on my car as I need something to mount the rear spring to. This rear end looks like something that somebody had a set of coil overs on. Thanks though.

Time Flies! My buddy doing brake work on my car called and told me to come and get it, I took it in on 07/01/06 and its finally done. Looking forward to going for a ride tommorrow before the weather changes. My building is close to done. I promise this is the last year of my life that I 1). Go through a summer without a street legal motorcycle ( I don't care what make or what model, give me a trail 90 with paper boy bags, o.k. by me) 2). Go through the summer without a corvette. 3). that I gotta rely on others to do my mechanical work because I Don't have a garage.

Fellas, this summer sucked. Life is to short. I will be out styling and profiling in the spring.

Thats a good attitude!
Hope it all "comes to be" for you.

Hey Ron...I can relate! Finally got the '75 running just before Carlisle..missed way too much summer, but all good things come to those who wait!

Best wishes on your '68 in getting everything documented and put together. Sounds like a great find and a fast ride}> !!!
