Fiberglass parts are a lot like pictures of Bigfoot or The Loch Ness Monster,
So Many companies and hobbyists pulled molds from parts when you have a picture/part That's all you have, a part, in those cases where a person wants to bucks up, it requires all that pesty documentation, otherwise it's just like in this case a "custom" hood,
I have so many people tell me this or that just because they "Say so"
Since Greenwoods kids started trying to revamp some cars now every one climes their wide body is a "Greenwood" even with documentation that wouldn't bleed an extra dollar from me if I were thinking of buying it.
As we were talking so many L-88 hood scoops out there same to a lesser degree with the 68 scoop and in the case of your 427 scoop on top of the BB hood scoop is "really" a 67 427 scoop, what I learned looking around is they are all a little different than stock,
I asked a Mid year friend for the measurement of his scoop,
His reply,
"My original is 36" long, 17" wide, front. The front spears are narrower at the front, then about 3" up the scoop widens. 23" wide rear. Height is 2" front, 1 1/2" rear. All measurements are pretty darn close, considering the shape of the scoop."
See if that is about what yours is,
If I had your hood I would just pull a mold from the upper scoop since you say it will cover the cake pan,
Then make a part and perhaps sell a couple to offset mold costs,
On the other hand, depends how much $$$ you have involved in the hood, if you cut it from that hood someone down the road might want it for a car with a tunnel ram or blower,
